Solar Victoria
Solar Victoria’s exists to help households access clean, affordable, reliable energy, now and into the future. By transitioning to solar, Victorians can take control of their electricity bills, tackle climate change and build a clean and reliable energy future.
Created as a portfolio entity within the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), Solar Victoria is delivering the Victorian Government’s $1.3 billion Solar Homes Program and the $11 million Training and Workforce Development Package.
Since the start of the Solar Homes Program in August 2018, Solar Victoria has:
- Approved more than 350,000 rebate and loan applications
- Saved the average solar customer $1,000 every year when they maximise their system usage
- Supported more than 6,000 workers through industry training program
- Helped install more than 1.8GW of solar capacity
- Reduced carbon emissions by 750,000 tonnes

The Solar for Business Program
The Solar for Business Program is an initiative designed to support Victorian businesses to reduce their energy costs by accessing the benefits of renewable energy.
Rebates of up to $3,500 are available to reduce the upfront cost of installing solar on their business premises, plus the option of an interest-free loan.
